AMATOLA FLY FISHING CLUB
Incorporating the Frontier Acclimatisation Society and Stutterheim Trout Angling Club
Welcome to our fly fishing club

In brief, the Amatola Fly Fishing Club (AFFC) was formed in 2013 through the amalgamation of one of the oldest fishing clubs in South Africa, the Frontier Acclimatisation Society (circa 1894), and the Stutterheim Trout Angling Club.  Trout have existed for more than a century in the Amatola region and the AFFC seeks to manage trout waters and promote fly fishing in general in the region.

The club currently manages and administers the trout fishing in Gubu, Maden, and Mnyameni Dams.  The fishing is open to club members and also to the public through a day-ticket system.  Gubu Dam has self-catering accommodation that is open only to members and their hosted guests.  Non-member interest or activity groups (e.g. other fishing clubs, school groups, event groups, social groups, etc.) may request use of the clubhouse by sending us an email.  Member and public access to other waters are also facilitated by the club.
